What is the NCLEX?

The NCLEX is an exam that nursing graduates must pass to become licensed registered nurses in the United States. It assesses your knowledge, clinical skills, and critical thinking abilities to ensure you’re prepared to practice nursing safely and effectively. Developed and administered by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN), the NCLEX is a pass/fail exam, with your passing score determined by the NCSBN.

NCLEX Pass Rates for International Nurses

In 2024, the pass rate for first-time internationally educated nurses was 53.81%. While this rate may vary annually, Conexus MedStaff’s unique exam preparation program is designed to give you the best possible chance at success.

  • Hold a valid nursing license in your country of residence.
  • Have recent clinical experience in a hospital setting.
  • Be committed to studying and passing the NCLEX.
  • Demonstrate English proficiency.

What Does the NCLEX Sponsorship Program Include?

Our NCLEX sponsorship program is designed to guide you every step of the way. Here’s how the process works:

Step 1: Complete Your Application

Submit your application online, and one of our recruitment team members will assess your eligibility. If you’re eligible, you will be invited to take the NCLEX Predictor Test (NPT).

Step 2: Take the NCLEX Predictor Test

The NPT is a 30-question online test designed to assess your readiness for the NCLEX exam. It takes about 2 hours to complete, and you’ll have 10 days to complete it once you receive the test link. If you don’t pass the NPT, we encourage you to continue studying and reapply after taking the NCLEX.

Step 3: Interview and Sign a Contract with Conexus MedStaff

After passing the NPT, you will be invited for an interview with our recruitment team. If you meet all criteria, you’ll be offered a position in our NCLEX sponsorship program and will sign an Employment Agreement.

This agreement includes:

  • 6,000 hour contract of employment with Conexus MedStaff.
  • Green Card sponsorship and relocation assistance to the U.S.
  • Milestone bonus program of up to $7,000.
  • Comprehensive benefits to support you and your family.

Step 4: Document Collection & Licensure

Our team will assist you in gathering the necessary documents for your NCLEX journey and submitting them to the Board of Nursing for your license application.

Step 5: Exam Preparation

We believe preparation is key to success. Our unique exam preparation program is designed to help you pass with confidence. You’ll be assigned an exam coordinator who will work with you throughout your preparation, helping you stay on track and providing support as needed.

The preparation program consists of:

  • Up to 5 weeks of live online classes* (15-20 hours per week).
  • 13 weeks of self-led study modules, mock exams, case studies and interactive simulations
  • Ongoing review and support from your exam coordinator to address any weak spots.

*Based on education and other qualifications.

Step 6: Schedule Your Exam

Once you’ve completed your preparation and received authorization to test, we’ll work with you to schedule your NCLEX exam. Our travel team will book your flight, ground transportation and accommodation, with Conexus MedStaff covering the costs.

Step 7: Quick Fix Sessions

To ensure you’re fully prepared, we offer Quick Fix Sessions leading up to the exam date to address any last-minute concerns and fine-tune your exam strategies.

Step 8: Take Your NCLEX Exam

Once you’ve passed the NCLEX, we’ll begin your U.S. immigration process to bring you closer to your new life as a U.S. nurse!

What if I Don’t Pass My NCLEX?

We understand that the NCLEX is a challenging exam, but with our dedicated support, we are confident that you will pass. However, if you don’t pass on the first attempt, we offer a re-test program. You will be responsible for the fees associated with your second attempt, but upon passing, we will reimburse your exam costs.
