We are thrilled to announce that Celine Cang, one of Conexus MedStaff’s international medical technologists currently working in the U.S., has been named to Medical Laboratory Observer’s (MLO) 55 Under 55 List. This recognition comes as part of MLO’s celebration of their 55th anniversary, where they honor 55 professionals under the age of 55 who have made significant contributions to the laboratory industry.
Celine’s journey is a testament to her commitment and passion for the field. At just 27 years old, Celine has accumulated five years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist. Originally from Butuan City, Philippines, and now residing in Silver Spring, Maryland, Celine’s dedication to her profession shines through in everything she does. She is a proud alumna of Centro Escolar University in Manila, Philippines, where she laid the foundation for her successful career.
Celine attributes much of her drive to her sister, a nurse, who first introduced her to the world of healthcare and continues to inspire her to aim higher every day. “There are many people I admire and am grateful for, but I will always look up to my sister,” Celine shared. “She encourages me to become better every day and has always pushed me to aim higher in terms of dreams and goals.”
In her role as a Medical Laboratory Scientist, Celine finds immense satisfaction in the never-ending process of discovery. She has a particular interest in hematology and microbiology, where she takes pride in assisting doctors with critical diagnoses. “There’s always something new to discover, and the process of learning is endless,” Celine says. “I find it fascinating and rewarding. Collaborating with my peers is another aspect of my work that I greatly enjoy.”
